Chilies are everywhere at the moment…sweet, hot, and fiery, couldn’t resist making a sweet chili sauce…not too hot, with just enough kick to spice things up…
I used both red and orange hot peppers, so the sauce wasn’t a rich red colour, however tastes delicious just the same…
Here’s the recipe, simple and quick. For extra vroom use even the seeds…
1 cup chilies,chopped
1 green apple ,chopped
1 white onion, chopped
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup white sugar
Process chilies, apple and onion in food blender, pour into saucepan adding vinegar and sugar. Bring to boil about 20 minutes. Let cool and then bottle into sterilized bottles or jars.
Check out this lunchtime special Chicken rice paper rolls here serve with this delicious chili sauce..

Ooooh, I think my boyfriend (oops, I mean “fiance” — I haven’t gotten used to that yet :-)) would *love* this recipe. He’s always looking for good ways to make food just a bit “hotter” than the rest of the family enjoys it. Yum.
