12 Days of Textures

How exciting is this! Another couple of days, actually 12 days of new textures, and a lot more learning and creating with Kim Klassen. Today’s texture KK’lilly’ is lightly dabbled with music notes…I used this image also in a post here, and wanted to create something new with it…I loved the black and white image, and the subtle glow point hinting of the vibrant orange persimmons. The harshness of the freezing snow creates for me a ‘wonder in awe’ emotion…natures way of preserving goodness. Have a great day, Yvette…x

Lost amid the Snow

Lost amid the snow…I remember the smile on my face, woken from a warm dreamy land, opening the shutters to find a  magical snow covered world outside my window. A smile of pure contentment of feeling free, and happy of seeking pleasure in the magical world of natural beauty. Everything that’s covered in snow is new again , pristine and glistening. The single rose,  her everlasting beauty even in the coldest of temperatures, her petals iced over her thorns unseen…the light in my garden covered in icicles a golden glimmer amongst a snow covered path…Lost amid the snow. Have you memories of today’s prompt…Lost amid the snow. Join in…it maybe a poem, a photo or something creative…  join in the fun of sharing your Christmas memories. Link up to Bigger Picture Blogs:’Twas the write before Christmas. Have a wonderful day my friends Yvette—x

Our first Snow

It’s hard to believe that today we’ve had a first snow fall and it’s November. Bitterly cold winds and temperatures and yes…snow. Thank goodness not enough to make a snowman, but enough to send us in a quiet frenzy of carefulness and patience on the roads. I love the snow, the clean crispness of the garden covered in all it’s whiteness. I took these photo’s last week, just as the sun was breaking through a cloudy foggy morning.   Just a little ray of sunshine! To start another day…. Yvette..x
