A Magical Place

One of the first vivid images I have of seeing the magnificent Dolomites was on my initial holiday here in Italy. I hadn’t seen anything like this wondrous, spectacular mountain cluster before. There’s such a magical feeling when you see this mountain range, I just stared in awe at it’s beauty.

Having the opportunity to visit again this special place, we take a drive to see the “queen of the dolomites”, the highest peak in this range, Mount Marmolada. Her highest point 3343m…my feet stay on the ground, and better to have a  lot of climbing experience to see her great beauty close up.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
– Mark Twain
