TT: La Dolce Vita

We all have favourite film’s, and with our own personal  magnetism we reach out and grab something, a  memory of that film and lock it away until a significant word, a song or a scene triggers the memory again. Reading an article on Rome, memories of my travels came to mind. The many wonderful Roman buildings and statues. The cobbled alley ways and angel faced facades and columns. My photo challenge with Kim Klassen this week was to depict within our photo’s a title of a film. La Dolce Vita, in Italian meaning ‘The Good Life’, ‘The Sweet Life’. Take a little time

Time for a cuppa with me this afternoon and reminisce over the ‘Simple Little Pleasures’, a wonderfully written and  illustrated book by Thomas Kinkade. Full of beautiful quotes and images. ‘ Take joy in life’s simple little pleasures, and experience a new sense of romance in your life. When you put just a little time and energy into the things that bring you pleasure, make you feel alive, and affirm your special interests and talents, your world becomes more vivid and memorable. And your life becomes one you can savor, with experiences that strengthen your connections to the people you love and to your own heart and soul.’ Thomas Kinkade Take a few minutes and capture through my images our afternoon tea together. Join me in a cup of herbal infusion: Cranberry,Raspberry and Strawberry tea with butterflies, dragonflies and bugs (cupcakes). An enchanted afternoon tea. Easy entertaining… A photo of a ocean scene or a memorable holiday photo, gives that personal touch to an easy conversation – fun holiday memories… I added a glass vase with mixed sized shells… A white linen tea towel makes a great centre table runner, I used as a base white plates, that way any colour scheme can be immerged into the setting. I added blue and white side plates and blue glassware… I had scallop shells saved away, and these are a great ocean theme accessory, place one facedown, and rest the other on top, place a small tea lamp candle inside. These are also great accessories for outside partying, lighting a pathway or around the table at ground level. Using blue napkins…now here’s a personal choice..yes I love white linen “real napkins” but  with the unlimited use of paper napkins with their colors and …
