Just a little card…

I was introduced to my first scrapbooking lesson at a local craft store in my small home country town.Chook scraps is a local craft store full of innovative ideas for any scrapbooking, card making and stamping – decorative hobbies, supplying quality supplies and kits for even the new hobbyist. Read Chook scraps blog here. I’ve been collecting so many wonderful coloured sheets of paper for so long I could probably open my own craft store. Never having done the practical side, myself and my sister enrolled in a class. What fun! It truly is a new concept of design for me,one I would call therapeutic.

There are so many templates and designs available that it’s only up to your imagination and your creative mind that’s stopping you from making so many things.Following the guide from our teacher, we tackled our first attempt in this paper fantasy world. Our aim was to make a yearly card journal, 12 pages for each month with a reminder pocket of special birthday dates on each page, with the incentive to make greetings cards ready for each month. However we finished our project in the time (2.5 hours) but I’m still finishing the final touches.

I have completed my first birthday card for the month of February…

All things done I’m happy with this creative moment.

Have a lovely day friends.
