A trail of Inspiration.

My starting point for this trail of inspiration not more than 24hours ago lead me onto many winding paths of colour, inspiration and acknowledgement of pure talent. One of the things on my ‘to do’ list was that for this month I would stay focused and blog a post every Saturday on Beverly’s Pink Saturday for the month of October as a reminder of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Take a couple of ‘clicks’ backwards, and although I’m not always finding time to post and create, within the solitude of my bedroom of an evening, I visit bogging friends, leave comments and join in the circle of friendship, that I so love to be a part of. Here’s my winding trail: I started with a visit to Celia at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial, where she had her  monthly feature look at what’s ‘In my Kitchen’, Turkish ceramics, wild ginger drinks, and vegetarian paella to name a few, take a look and maybe join in. Sometimes when you visit friends, you spend a little extra time …

The Se7ven Link Challenge

The duck population are partying today! Time for me to stay inside and enjoy a virtual vacation visiting all of you, and catching up with what I’ve missed. Her Seven Link Challenge can be found HERE. What’s this challenge all about? With SEVEN different categories, each blogger nominates a single post, then nominates up to …

Expressing it is sometimes the hardest thing. We often concern ourselves with our emotional barriers..what will my readers think, what image of myself do I give, should I share every bit of  information, should I really write that. . Or do I really write from my inner self and heart. I’ve chosen the later. I write from my inner voice, I try to capture the world around me,the beauty of nature and her changing seasons. The love of fresh and seasonal produce, interpreting colour, balance and textures on a plate. The love of collective objects which truly expresses my love of many era’s, Victoriana in particular. The love of a single rose, the intricacy of a wooden frame, a silver platter or a linen tablecloth.  “ All our dreams can come true – if we have the courage to pursue …
