Day 1 & 2  Behind the Scenes “When you have something to write, get on with it.” So, that’s what I have intention of doing, just going with the flow. I’m participating in Kims & Xanthes Behind the Scenes: A creative guide to blogging your Passion on line course. With Kim & Xanthe at my side, we’re part of a group of innovative and creative souls. Inspiration flowing from all over the world. We’ve only just started, but there’s such enthusiasm and strong energy I know I’m going to enjoy this journey. As I’ve been only blogging for a couple of years, ‘blogging’ was a means of communicating with family and friends, of showing them where I lived in Italy, sharing my new culinary cuisine and the extreme climate changes, so different of what I was used to in Australia. Moving to another country has really ‘changed’ me, in so many ways. Early Start…The Liebster Award

Nothing like a spectacular electric storm to see you out to morning. The sky was certainly a brilliant display of white fireworks,and disturbing anger last night, after a few days of extra hot early Spring weather, everything has cooled down and calm for this morning. I find myself awake early, and within the silence of the early morning I have time to visit  and cyber chat with friends. I’ve been nominated by my friend Mandy,from The Complete Cook Book for The Liebster Award. Mandy and myself crossed paths early this year, commenting on varying common blogs together, we both have a passion for those things that enrich our lives from the kitchen. She continually supports, encourages and inspires me with her cooking, so take a few minutes to visit her blog. She shares excerpts from her family copy of ‘Woman’s Home Companion Cook Book, her last post is Part 8 from the book and can be found here. What about me?

How many minutes in the day, capture the love of a child? How many minutes of the day capture the words from a friend? How many minutes in the day captures a thought of a loved one? How about a second to think of me! With this ongoing rush of life and everyday routines, do we find enough time for ourselves. And if we do find that second is it a selfish second? Be it child’s play…another go at bouncing the ball, an extra lolly, a kiss on the cheek, an extra hug, another piece of vegemite toast, another glass of water…in a child’s voice…What about me? Be it adult antics…a cup of coffee, my ironed shirt?…another paid bill, a glass of wine, another cooked dinner, a simple heartfelt touch, a whispered word…in an adult’s voice..What about me? Do we hear our own voice? These rushing minutes within the week, reminded me to stop, look around and take a deep breath. Look outside and see the bigger picture, and also reminded me of this song. …
