The Se7ven Link Challenge

The duck population are partying today! Time for me to stay inside and enjoy a virtual vacation visiting all of you, and catching up with what I’ve missed. Everyone has been busy in the kitchen, I’ve been visually overindulgent soaking up all the new recipes and fresh and seasonal produce that I’m seeing around the country, and I never have enough time to catch up with all the great photographers and their textured Art. As I was unable to acknowledge the last award I was given,( Versatile Blogger) I thought I might acknowledge this person in this the Seven Link Challenge, so you could all visit her and see her talents. She’s number one on my list of bloggers. Initially I learnt about this challenge from Mandy over at her blog                            The Complete Cookbook, her knowledge and cooking has inspired her book, with the second edition available soon. Her Seven Link Challenge can be found HERE. What’s this challenge all about? With SEVEN different categories, each blogger nominates a single post, then nominates up to …

Her weekend  adventure was for us to answer a few questions, so we could all get to know each other a little better. Today was the best I could do, so I hope you’ll not worry that it’s already mid week, but I wanted to be part of Mandy’s adventure. 1. What is your favourite non- alcoholic drink? White

If there was one colour in my life, I’d have to say  W H I T E. Why? I love the crispness, the cleanliness and purity of how a room can change. Could we be safe and happy behind our white picket fences around our homes? The colour of  food brought out on a clean white plate. The framing of a room with clean white walls. The tone of our skin under a crisp white linen shirt. The outside view looking through a white window frame. “ The first of all single colors is white…We shall set down white for the representative of light, without which no color can be seen, yellow for the earth; green for water; blue for air; red for fire; and black for total darkness.” Leonardo Di Vinci White is the colour that belongs to the feng shui element of Metal. It’s feng shui energy is crisp, clear, clean and fresh. White is the colour of beginnings, as well as clear endings.White is the most versatile colour that can help brighten …

Take a little time

Full of beautiful quotes and images. ‘ Take joy in life’s simple little pleasures, and experience a new sense of romance in your life. When you put just a little time and energy into the things that bring you pleasure, make you feel alive, and affirm your special interests and talents, your world becomes more vivid and memorable. And your life becomes one you can savor, with experiences that strengthen your connections to the people you love and to your own heart and soul.’ Thomas Kinkade Take a few minutes and capture through my images our afternoon tea together. Join me in a cup of herbal infusion: Cranberry,Raspberry and Strawberry tea with butterflies, dragonflies and bugs (cupcakes). An enchanted afternoon tea. Marshmallow iced cupcakes…bugs and butterflies… A couple more minutes…read on…

Textures and the ever Changing Mode.

Time has passed since my last post, and I’ve missed writing in this creative journal of mine.I’ve been itching to get back into it, truth being how do I push off from this starting point? Do I have the opportunity to take a new innovative direction? Should I change anything? What are you as the reader wanting to read, see, hear? What am I really wanting to write, learn, cook, paint? Yes,I think it’s time to put some new colour into my world! How can I capture your intriguing eyes and voice? I’ve had time with family and friends, reminiscing over good food, wine, music and the younger years, and interesting enough, hearing the reactions of those dear friends to this little blog of mine. My time was also thinking about the many directions and avenues life can take us. The influences of surrounding ourselves with positive attitudes, thoughts and knowledge. Sifting through the many voices and listening to those little whispers of encouragement to move on. Those influencing whispers to strive to achieve many of …
