How GratiTude can change your day

It has been written by some of you how you don’t and wouldn’t be expected to – unless sleeping with your computer 24/7 read and comment to every person who calls past and witnesses your thoughts, dreams and aspirations of the daily, weekly, or monthly posting, their aren’t enough hours in the day. With the updating of WordPress and the assembly of new widgets, it does make it easier, however to view our comments and those who comment and then reply. (My personal thoughts) To my followers all 100 (I had a jump this week (within) as I reached the milestone), I am grateful to all who may call past and leave comments, and it makes a difference to my day, and I hope and guess also when I acknowledge you, that you did call past, you maybe do care,(that I did!) Two of my readers have passed on awards to me. And in appreciation for these nominations  I acknowledge these two people, their wonderful blogs and how I admire their creativity, and how they …

Alive

As she sits in front of her lifeline to a magical world of people with talents, inspirations and affirmations. She sits on a shaken limb of doubt and fear. In her mind, there are inner voices , some soft whispers, others roaring screams. A childhood memory carved deep within, a world of competition, innocence and sadness. A destructive world feeling second best, of non achieving, playing with shadows. The faded memories of laughter and song, of happiness. Memories that she thought had been pushed behind a high sturdy wall, never to crumble, memories that had been locked away in a box and the key thrown away, never to be opened again. She knows how hard it’s been to block out those voices and dance in front of those shadows. The sacrifices that she’s made and new promises that she’s kept to herself, to never go back to that world. So why, is life a circle? Why do those whispers become a hum of destruction. She always thought life was a path, and at crossroads, decisions were made.  Turn …

Innovation

To make changes by introducing something new. Innovate. With enthusiasm and a small adventure in hand, myself and my best friend Trish were asked to judge a local art show “Art in the Park” in the south west town of Busselton, Western Australia. I’ve shown photo’s of this beautiful Aussie paradise before in my mosaic photo post here. The photo in the middle is the Busselton jetty. This annual event was celebrating it’s 51st year, with over three hundred entries.  With a beautiful sunny morning, we started out early and on arrival we were greeted with a wonderful, inspiring and talented display of local and south west region artists, who had used every medium, every imaginable colour on the colour palette and an array of subject matter. Our choice on behalf of the Hemsley family was the award for the most innovative. Our choice was a painting done by local artist Denny Sanbrook. Her entries in the art show were numerous and very eye catching, using mixed medium with subtle colours showing a visual presentation …

One day at a time….

Day Seven Prompt: “The darkness of the whole world cannot swallow the glowing of a candle.” – Robert Altinger I started this journey the last week with new friends, sharing our thoughts together about a special time of the year…it was a week of trying to set the mood of a joyous time of the year, but to no avail. My Dad passed away this weekend, after a long time suffering. Destiny had its will, I didn’t get to see him, hold his hand, kiss his forehead, or even say a little prayer before his last breath. I didn’t have wings to fly across the distance… I was with him in August sharing the memories of good times, hoping there might have been a longer time for us to share them, laugh and cry together. My Dad was a man of strength fighting with dignity against his illness, holding back the pain.No more suffering…no more pain. What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part …
